**Job Description**

The Digital Marketing SEO Content Manager will own and lead Nordstrom’s enterprise wide SEO content strategy. You’ll work cross-functionally with content writers, brand, engineering, design, and other stakeholders to create and optimize high performing content for users and search engines.

**What You’ll Do:**

+ Develop and implement a data driven long-form content strategy that delivers incremental organic traffic & visibility while providing visitors with informative and engaging experiences that drive demand in key divisions.

+ Partner with product teams and internal stakeholders to implement necessary technology platforms (CMS) to support scaled publishing

+ Maintain a clearly defined roadmap, editorial calendarand workflow processes to support stakeholder projects as well as SEO driven content creation.

+ Conduct ongoing keyword research, discovery, and optimization to help guide content creation and optimization strategies.  Track and monitor the impact of content performance.

+ Manage the content lifecycle workflow from creation through approvals, editing, publishing/activation, measurement, curation, and maintenance.

+ Identify and fix technical SEO issues, including architecture, crawlability and indexability, broken links, etc.

+ Optimize title tags, meta descriptions, headings, canonical tags, hreflang tags, structured data markup, internal linking, and URL structure.

+ Manage a team of two internal content specialists and as needed, freelance writers to generate articles, posts, and other content types that you find will drive traffic.

+ Utilize industry leading tools to streamline your research and strategy, including: SEMRush, Ahrefs, ScreamingFrog, Search Console, Sistrixand Google Analytics.

+ Identify opportunities for conversion and implement testable CTAs.

+ Communicate initiatives and results to the wider organization.


+ At least 6 years of SEO content experience

+ Experience leading, coaching and influencing others

+ Extremely detail and process oriented

+ Deep understanding of SEO KPIs

+ Have a growth marketing/optimization mindset; deeply analytical 

+ Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and intellectual curiosity

+ Must be a proactive team player who enjoys working with peers and other key stakeholders to design and execute against evolving business needs

+ Editing and copywriting skills 

+ Basic HTML, CSS, and Javascript knowledge
