**Job Description**

Nordstrom is hiring on our Store Ecosystem team. We are building a Dev-Ops team to provide a highly stable platform for the delivery of applications and hardware that drive service and customer experiences for our stores. If you want to be a part of a team of engineers that is building a next-generation retail platform utilizing a diverse set of technologies and skills, we would love to talk with you.

**A day in the life…**

+ Building CICD pipelines to support the delivery of applications to store devices

+ Building Docker Images with tooling to support applications that demand high availability

+ Development of Rest APIs to support integration between applications and our store environment using Python, Java, or Javascript

+ Development of telemetry and logging solutions to extend observability of our platform to all partner teams

+ Automation of Infrastructure Deployment

+ Hands on analysis and troubleshooting of production issues for our supported infrastructure

+ Identifying, defining, and building improvements to support tools, processes, and the service itself

+ Improve customer experience with delivering new service monitoring, alarming and scripting

**You own this if you have…**

+ Experience with one of the following languages (Python, Javascript, Java, Go)

+ Experience creating and supporting Docker images

+ Experience building and maintaining CICD pipelines

+ Familiarity with Linux system administration

+ Ability to debug and optimize code and to automate routine tasks

+ Familiarity with Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or Terraform

+ Basic Networking (TCP/IP, routing, network topologies and hardware, SDN, etc)

+ Broad understanding of large scale system architecture, automation, integration, and processes

+ Familiarity with Cloud based infrastructure and automation

+ Familiarity with the development of Rest APIs

+ Motivated, critical thinker with proven skills to troubleshoot and solve problems in a production support environment

+ Strong desire to learn and understand new technologies

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
