**Job Description**

Nordstrom is hiring engineers for our evolving Store Ecosystem team. Store Ecosystems provides the foundation for world-class customer experiences in our stores by providing engineering solutions for hardware and integration services. We are a dev-ops-oriented team responsible for developing solutions for our large fleet of store hardware, devices and integration services. If you want to be a part of a team of engineers that is building a next-generation retail platform utilizing a diverse set of technologies and skills, we would love to talk with you.

**A day in the life…**

+ Contribute to systems design, automation, implementation, and documentation

+ Focus on system performance, availability and critical system health metrics

+ Maintain a high level of quality for every deliverable or team outcome

+ Develop telemetry solutions, harness data to influence key decisions and technology strategy

+ Develop automating for solutions at scale

+ Contribute process improvements, documentation and automated problem remediation capabilities

+ Demonstrate working knowledge of secure coding practices and secure system fundamentals

+ Partner with our customers and cross-divisional teams to develop and deliver high-quality solutions

+ Contribute to team and organization engineering standards

+ Be curious, passionate, collaborative, and inclusive

**You own this if you have…**

+ A passion for hardware, devices, platform services development and integration engineering

+ Expertise in operating systems and configuration management concepts

+ Working knowledge of cloud services, containerization and edge computing concepts

+ Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery methodologies and tooling

+ A solid foundational of knowledge of infrastructure

+ Experience with distributed systems and infrastructure

+ Proficiency in one or more scripting or programming languages

+ Curiosity for emerging technologies, hardware, mobile devices, IoT concepts

+ Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, Information Technology or related

+ 2+ years professional experience in practice area
