**Job Description**

Managers within Technology at Nordstrom help create an inspiring workplace where talented people are empowered to drive amazing customer experiences and business results. Through broad industry and practice knowledge and hands-on technical management experience, the Manager guides a team of professionals to execute strategy and tactics that deliver desired results.

**A day in the life…**

+ Partner with senior leaders to develop Store Ecosystem team vision and strategies that support company goals

+ Contribute to architecture, coding, test plans, project plans, deployment planning and operations to drive outcomes and lead team towards its goals

+ Employ continuous improvement methodologies across direct team (e.g. customer experience focus, waste elimination, increased productivity, rapid iterations, shorten feedback loop, creation and delivery OKRs)

+ Hire and develop capable and motivated talent that can deliver swiftly and predictably, adjusting in an agile fashion to deliver solutions aligned with business needs

+ Ensure team has the tools, resources, and information they need to be successful

+ Create training opportunities for team to learn the latest technologies and methodologies

+ Foster an inclusive team environment that develops curious and passionate engineers

**You own this if you have…**

+ A passion for DEVOPS, hardware, infrastructure as code and configuration management

+ A desire to lead, mentor and develop others

+ Experience in developing team vision and strategies for a technology engineering team

+ Excellent organizational and communication skills

+ 5+ years of relevant technology engineering experience

+ A BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology or closely related degree or equivalent practical experience

+ 2+ years leading teams
