Manager, Creative Design – ( 220001UW )
The Auto Club Group (ACG) provides membership, travel, insurance and financial services offerings to approximately 9 million members and customers across 11 states and 2 U.S. territories through the AAA, Meemic and Fremont brands. ACG belongs to the national AAA federation and is the second largest AAA club in North America.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Leads the conception, development and implementation of the creative aspects of advertising/promotion campaigns for a broad spectrum of marketing media (e.g., print, internet, direct response, broadcast) for The Auto Club Group (ACG). Develops innovative, creative strategies and solutions that cost-effectively support the achievement of marketing goals.
Collaborates with internal stakeholders and external vendors to meet creative design goals and objectives. Establishes and maintains branding concepts and applications that support corporate identity, design standards and policies.
Responsible for creative planning of cross-channel programs, client service and creative oversight of program development through implementation. Builds, and modifies as necessary, annual plan that aligns capacity, priorities and development of the team with evolving marketing and sales support needs. Ensures brand standards and legal requirements are consistently and appropriately translated into marketing materials, throughout all lines of business.
Maintains and applies knowledge of current and emerging creative marketing trends and tools to support the achievement of ACG goals and objectives.
Participates in the selection, hiring and performance management of assigned staff and in the budget planning and management process.
Supervises creative staff which may include professional, technical, support and/or supervisory team members
Ensures cost effective, quality results from external vendors and/or consultants.
Bachelor degree preferred.

+ Experience in creative design in a multiple, diverse product environment
Work Environment :
Works in a temperature-controlled office environment.
College level course work in Marketing, Advertising, Graphic Design or a related field.
+ Broad spectrum of marketing media (e.g., print, electronic, direct response, broadcast)
+ Managing creative projects from conception through implementation
+ Marketing creative design, copy, media and production
+ Mass media advertising and multi-channel target marketing
Knowledge and Skills:
+ Translating business objectives into effective, innovative marketing concepts
+ Developing and implementing effective, creative solutions that cost-effectively support marketing strategies, objectives and goals
+ Preparing and presenting marketing creative concepts and proposals to business lines, management and external vendors
+ Effectively lead a marketing creative design team in a fast-paced, diverse product, cross-channel environment
+ Effectively integrate and coordinate internal and external creative resources
+ Provide creative oversight for copywriting styles and approaches, grammar, art direction, graphic design, illustration and photography techniques, advertising and marketing principles, direct marketing methodology and techniques, web-page and banner design, logo and tagline usage and placement, color selection, etc.
+ Creative branding and marketing principles, strategies and tactics
+ Effective advertising and marketing workflow processes
+ Design and production of varied advertising media and marketing collateral
+ Multi-media computer applications in mac-based environment
+ Emerging and state-of-the-art creative concepts, solutions and tools
+ Microsoft office applications
+ Current and emerging laws and regulations as they relate to marketing creative design
+ Decision making
+ Managing and controlling major projects
+ Organization and planning
+ Budget planning and management
+ Strong interpersonal and vendor management skills
+ Strong project management skills
+ Portfolio of original creative work may be required
