The Principal of Outbound Routing will be responsible for building the business model and technology that makes the magic of shipping to Nordstrom customers happen for millions of customers. This role will be responsible for delivering a strategic delivery program targeted at optimizing our logistics network and routing rules to provide customers speed of delivery at sustainable costs.

You will be responsible for the development, deployment and optimization of on-going Supply Chain related customer experience and routing related capabilities and configurations. The role is complex in that it requires a leader who can flex their focus from short-term to long-term fluidly and is able to partner collaboratively with many teams (Merchandising, Marketing, Digital Ops, Inventory Deployment, Store Ops, Field Ops, Data Science Technology, Product Teams) to align on trade-offs and paths forward. The role requires outstanding stakeholder management skills and a track record in delivering results across multiple VP organizations and geographies.

**A day in the life…**

+ Develop a framework, methodology, tools, metrics and governance related to the ordering and fulfillment customer experience, including the last mile routing of online orders.

+ Communicate performance and plans that require identifying and evaluating trade-offs within or across functions. Continuously develop and optimize frameworks to drive customer value through service, experience, availability, quality and cost

+ Partner across functions, building relationships that allow you to influence the strategy, plans and work to improve customer value through service, experience, availability, quality and cost

+ Drive the on-going evolution of Nordstrom’s critical supply chain routing capabilities, long-term roadmap and capability-gap closing initiatives to drive world class routing from our omni-channel network of shipping nodes.

**You own this if you have…**

+ A STEM or Supply Chain related Bachelor’s degree

+ 10+ years of e-commerce experience, ideally within product mgt demonstrating the ability to launch product

+ Experience working directly with technical teams in an agile software development environment

+ Demonstrated experience bringing large scale change opportunities to life through storytelling, fact-based orientation, and using advanced analytics to inform complex decision making

+ Ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences and influence outside technical teams

+ Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

+ Analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions

+ Strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to influence through writing

+ Strong business acumen. Experience working with P&L data to drive bottom-line contributions

+ Collaborative, engaging and high energy

+ A willingness to partner across all dimensions of Nordstrom to influence, drive, and deliver change

+ Excitement for the opportunity to redefine the future of Nordstrom’s Supply Chain

+ Approximately 10% or less travel annually.
