**Job Description**

A Program Manager 2 is part of a key team of Technology professionals managing technical programs that deliver significant business value to Nordstrom and its customers. The Program Manager 2 partners with internal stakeholders to develop, design, build and launch technology solutions. This position interacts with people in both business and technical roles to create specifications and resolve issues with an eye toward continuous improvement. This position works across department and functional lines on a variety of programs that range in scope, risk and complexity.

Our team designs, develops and deploys full line mobile app and services on iOS and Android platforms. Our best customers shop on the mobile app and we are growing at 20% year over year. The program manager will work closely with the engineering team to provide guidance and structure to engineering squads to drive efficient delivery. This Technical Program Manager is seen as a leader of the squad who will be working closely to help align and drive sprints for epic development. A day to day for this role is engage with cross-functional teams to identify constraints, dependencies, risks/issues, and to deliver software features. Assess high level technical feasibility and estimates for bodies or work to the team. This is an exciting role to help build customer facing features

**A day in the life…**

+ Combine full understanding of concepts, theories and principles with business insights and manages moderately complex programs

+ Know who customers are and communicates technical requirements to dependent teams. Define data requirements in both technical and business terms that inform the success of programs

+ Use customer lens to create data measurements to quantify measures for success and recognizes gaps in technical and operational KPI’s

+ Possess base level knowledge of technology (e.g. Cloud, APIs, services, Windows stack, open source, database technologies, etc.)

+ Possess broad understanding of end to end capability and applies engineering lifecycle knowledge to feature design, task estimation, design review, story creation, triage, schedule and performance standards

+ Read basic code constructs, understand and identify estimates of effort to complete engineering work streams

+ Understand and lead agile ceremonies for team

**You own this if you have…**

+ A 4-year degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience

+ 3 + years of Project or Program Management experience

+ 3 + years of demonstrated successful program delivery

+ Management of programs with cross-functional stakeholders

+ Knowledge of front end development
