**A day in the life…** **Lease Accounting Senior Accountant**

The Capital Accounting team within the Controllers Group is seeking a Senior Lease Accountant. This individual should be highly motivated, have excellent customer service and enjoy a dynamic work environment. This individual is responsible for:

+ Performing month-end, quarterly and annual closing activities in compliance with GAAP and Company accounting policies, including the preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, lease payments, ad hoc analysis and reporting

+ Reviewing new and modified lease contracts for proper accounting and completion within the lease accounting system

+ Delivering proactive, comprehensive, and relevant analysis, insights, and recommendations taking into consideration implications to the business and customer by collaborating across Finance and the organization

+ Continuous improvement mindset and recommends improvements to systems, processes and policies

+ As applicable, preparing forecast and budgets

+ Participating in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance testing

+ Performing ad-hoc accounting projects as directed

**You own this if you have…**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

+ Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

+ Knowledge of US GAAP

+ Detail-oriented

+ Strong problem solving skills

+ Effective communication (oral & written) across the company with management, auditors and other depts.

+ Proficient with Microsoft Excel

**Desired Skills and Experience**

+ Public accounting experience

+ CPA accreditation

+ Experience with Oracle General Ledger, Lucernex Lease system
