**Engineer Senior**

An Engineer Sr. is part of Nordstrom Technology professionals that applies scientific, mathematical and secure principles to build and maintain technology systems and solutions. These technology products and solutions provide amazing customer experiences while meeting the needs of the business.

A Collaboration Engineer is responsible for managing and engineering highly available, robust and scalable solutions for collaboration applications, primarily the Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications.This position’s primary focus is to implement and operate Nordstrom’s technology and business roadmap initiatives transitioning to SaaS services and future application rollout.

**A day in the life…**

+ Lead project, development, and operational activities and/or projects for additions, enhancements/fixes to Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Exchange, Sharepoint, and PowerAutomate

+ Maintain efficient operation and effectiveness of supported applications and services. Work closely with Integrations business units team on projects. and businessUnderstand complex applications and design solutions meeting business requirements initiatives Initiate and implement required changes. Keep abreast of activities outside the team that may impact the team or client environment

+ Coordinate activities and changes with other engineers and teams. Includes reviewing specifications, preparation and execution. Ability to present to peers, teams, and management.

+ Resolves complex engineering and performance problems issues and implement optimized solutions while collaborating with and influencing others

+ Ability to architect and update design and processes. Knowledge and experience with business tools including Confluence or OneNote, Visio

+ Understanding of security concepts and implementation

+ Influence quality standards and understands, identifies, as well as measures KPI’s across entire solution. Understands application performance operation, including monitoring

+ Identify performance issues and implement optimized solutions

+ Participates in team OnCall rotation

**You own this if you have…**

+ Bachelor’s or degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience

+ High level engineering depth in Microsoft collaboration stack including Office 365, Exchange (Hybrid) & SharePoint (Hybrid)

+ Hands on experience in Microsoft Office 365 application design, engineering, and administration

+ Experience evangelizing O365 applications and creating solutions to business teams

+ PowerShell or others scripting with potential SDLC development practices

+ API development with Azure or AWS

+ Cloud experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP
