**A day in the life…**
The Senior Director of Program Management – Planning Transformation will lead our enterprise-wide transformation of planning process, tools and system to be a data driven merchandising organization operating in cost accounting by 2022. This leader will be accountable for defining the vision of the future, drive the roadmap of transformation and lead the implementation of cost accounting in merchandising. In addition to partnering with leaders in merchandising, this role will partner with the leaders of the functions that intersect with the merchandising planning process including Technology, Supply Chain, Change Management and Finance.
The key responsibilities of this role are:
+ **Cost Accounting:** Serve as the business lead in the cost accounting project team to ensure the project achieves its strategic outcomes. Responsible for partnering with product management and technology to ensure a successful transition to cost for merchandising teams. Represent Merchandising’s requirements for future planning to the cost project team. This role is accountable to make daily project decisions; as well as, identify options for complex decisions identifying tradeoffs and making a recommendation on best path forward.
+ **Planning Process:** Drive the vision and roadmap for the future of planning with the merchandising leadership team. This role will work across the enterprise to identify new capabilities (e.g. leveraging alternative models, forward deployment), determine how those will impact merchandising and what our plan is to enable. They will identify and develop new ways of working and how we can use data to inform and/or make merchandising decisions
+ **Change Management:** Lead the implementation of cost accounting across merchandising. Identify the change management needs and collaborating with our learning and leadership teams to help support the change across the organization.
This position reports to the VP, Inventory Planning and Transformation and supports a team of direct and indirect reports
**You own this if you have…**
+ Track record of thought leadership, collaborative problem solving of complex business issues, and analytical experience leveraging data to build business cases and drive decision making
+ Experience leading team of both direct and indirect reports, with the ability to prioritize, delegate and drive shared outcomes
+ Experience with large-scale program initiatives including ability to work cross-functionally to drive ideas from conception to execution, prioritizing and making tradeoffs as needed
+ Experience leading a team in merchandising planning or inventory management preferably in a cost based omini-channel retailer
+ Strong communication skills, including the ability to develop storylines, present information and influence across all levels of the organization and externally
+ Ability to work independently to drive initiative; motivated and results-oriented; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and dealing with ambiguity
+ Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
