**Job Description**

The Senior Learning Developer on the Learning & Leadership team builds creative and engaging learning materials, programs, and experiences to support learning needs across the business. This role plays a critical part in our efforts to be as renowned for our people experience as we are for our customer experience.

This role requires strong project management and a solid understanding of how people learn, plus the creative talent and curiosity to challenge the status quo, innovate, and help re-imagine learning at Nordstrom!

**A day in the life…**

+ Manage the scope and time needed to develop complex learning solutions; define the process, risks and resources needed, and quickly adapt learning strategies as business priorities and learning needs evolve

+ Able to work in ambiguity by being curious and ever changing and help simplify the complex into tangible solutions

+ Develop learning experiences that produce measurable outcomes in a creative, engaging, relevant, and sustainable way that is reflective of Nordstrom culture and brand

+ Support an ecosystem of self-service; develop and maintain a design system for other learning designers and specialists to help final products align with Learning & Leadership standards.

+ Determine design process and approach for complex learning solutions, leveraging a build/buy/curate model ranging from creating a learning product from start to finish, partnering with vendors to get work done, and providing consultation to your Learning & Leadership partners on what resources to use and how to get the best out of those resources

+ Be curious about learning technologies and design to better provide the learner fresh and relevant ways to engage

+ Actively experiments with and brings forward new learning technologies and tools to evolve the learning solutions produced

+ Able to navigate multiple tools to develop complex learning solutions compatible/reportable with LMS platforms

+ Promotes a culture of learning by coaching and mentoring learning experience designers on new and evolving techniques and providing frequent feedback

+ Demonstrate commitment to teamwork through relationship building and effective collaboration with Learning & Leadership partners and business subject matter experts

+ Deliver exemplary internal customer service through strong professionalism and project ownership/management

**You own this if you have….**

+ Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, Master’s degree preferred

+ 6+ years of relevant work experience

+ Advanced proficiency with tools such as Articulate Rise/Storyline, Camtasia, and Adobe Creative Cloud required

+ Advanced video capture and editing, graphic design, interactive design experience

+ Experience with eLearning technical standards (SCORM, AICC, xAPI) required

+ Advanced proficiency in HTML, CSS, JS. Curious and excited about code-based learning products

+ Outstanding collaboration and interpersonal skills

+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast paced, continuously evolving, and sometimes ambiguous environment required

+ Portfolio of representative work required
