Nordstrom Supply Chain Product Management organization is seeking a talented Senior Product Manager for driving key customer and supplier facing solutions. Nordstrom has established itself as the leader in the fashion retail industry and is looking to continue its successful growth with differentiated customer order delivery through a nimble supply chain. As a Senior Product Manager, you will own the product roadmap where you will be responsible for identifying areas of opportunities with business as well as cross-functional stakeholders, lead product discovery, prioritize the applicable technology backlog, declare and own what is going to be delivered and be fully responsible for understanding the core value proposition, weighing options, risks, dependencies and constraints, delivering what was set forth, measuring your product’s performance and success and communicating results. Above and beyond all requirements, we are looking for seasoned Product Managers who can demonstrate strong grasp of a product vision through core objectives versus features and functionality sets.
Being in the Supply Chain organization, having experience in warehouse operations, movement of goods, inventory management, purchase order management and supplier relationships will be highly sought out. This role specifically will be leveraging data heavily to optimize e-Commerce, Order Management, ERP and warehouse management systems. Candidates with strong background working with business intelligence, data analytics and data-science teams is preferred.
+ Set the product roadmap with business and cross-functional stakeholders
+ Drive cross functional product alignment with any dependent stakeholder teams.
+ Responsible for end-to-end aspects of product roadmap from intake and prioritization to delivery and UAT.
+ Establish and maintain strong relationships with warehouse operations, transportation, analytical science, finance, and strategy teams to solve problems.
+ Evaluate competitor experiences
+ Prioritize feature opportunities and develop annual backlog
+ Lead business requirements gathering, analyze and map underlying processes, application and data flows to guide opportunity/risk identification and scoping.
+ Understand technology options from engineering teams, be highly competent in weighing options and trade-offs and be to articulate options to business and cross-functional stakeholders on your own in a way that helps drive good understanding, empathy, support and fact-based decision making.
+ Be actively involved in your product’s data, self-serving underlying data points, doing your own analytics to assess areas of development and requirements and partner with business analysts and data scientists to understand the overall customer order fulfillment and planning landscape, problem areas, root-causes and outliers.
+ 5+ years of work experience specifically in Product Management functionality required and experience in technology or ecommerce company preferred
+ Overall 8-10 years of industry experience in a field related or associated with the role being sought
+ Strong domain expertise in Supply Chain operations. Direct experience in S&OP Planning, strategic planning, operational planning and/or warehouse operations would be a significant plus
+ Strong experience in exploratory data analysis and in providing data acquisition and modelling requirements
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving competencies with ability to synthesize information, apply critical thought and present the information in a clear and meaningful way
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering or technology is a must, while degree in industrial engineering, production engineering, supply chain management, operations management or business administration is preferred. MBA or advanced degree in industrial engineering or supply chain or operations management is preferred.
+ Passionate about data analytics and visionary for how it can be applied, with strong strategic/critical thinking and problem-solving skills to complement
