**Job Description**

As a Senior UX Designer you’ll play a pivotal role in defining and shaping digital products used by a variety of internal teams here at Nordstrom. You’ll own and drive high-profile projects to completion with little oversight, collaborating with project partners across the company to deliver innovative web and native app experiences. You’ll collaborate with talented UX designers to create great experiences for our employees as well as helping to drive solutions that also impact the customer experience. You’ll lead the design of processes and tools for those in our Customer Care space, while maintaining consistency with design patterns and practices across the enterprise. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a good handle on agile development methods.

**A day in the life…**

+ Drive the end to end product design process for desktop, tablet, and apps

+ Know and understand the customer needs and serve as their advocate when making design decisions

+ Own and execute entire large-impact projects as assigned

+ Use your deep understanding of user centered design to create game-changing features and innovative interactions that support Nordstrom’s outstanding customer service

+ Develop detailed product deliverables that effectively communicate UX designs and product requirements

+ Maintain knowledge of user interface processes, tools and best practices to achieve higher quality, lower costs and shorter time to release

+ Effectively communicate concepts with authority and conviction

**You own this if you have…**

+ 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design

+ Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Master’s preferred)

+ A strong portfolio that demonstrates not only your stellar designs, but tells the story of your approach to problem-solving and your design process

+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively

+ Ability to research and resolve issues using appropriate resources

+ Demonstrated skill and experience creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, user interface designs and final visual comps for large and small screens (web & apps)
