In this role, you will operate in the intersection of business and data, within the fast-paced environment of Loss Prevention. You will drive business performance of our teams through data collection, dashboards, metrics, performance reporting, analytics and forecasting to provide an in-depth understanding of key business drivers and support enhanced decision-making and strategy. You will collaborate with business owners and technology partners be on-point to engage with Loss Prevention stakeholders and JWN leadership to understand the needs of the business and to help drive performance through data analysis.
**A day in the life…**
+ Design, build, manage and evolve Dashboards and other self-service tools for our key stakeholders
+ In partnership with the Loss Prevention Leadership Team, drive monthly and quarterly business performance management process including annual target setting, KPI metrics definitions, and deep dives into causes of variance
+ Lead development of data driven tools in support of recommendations to drive continuous improvement, forecasting tools and surface strategic options
+ Model all aspects of Physical Inventory analysis and reporting, and make recommendations to drive best in class results
+ Analyze data for market trends and patterns, developing predictive analyses to present to business leaders that inform and influence decisions
+ Generate weekly, monthly and quarterly reports with market trends, past and present, that highlight current performance levels
+ Perform data profiling to identify anomalies
+ Benchmark business performance against internal and external entities to demonstrate best in class performance
+ Develop high quality, compelling analyses, presentations and reporting for both one-time and recurring activities
+ Evaluate data into information, information into action and action into value for Nordstrom Loss Prevention
**You’ve got this if…**
+ Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline
+ 3+ years of experience in business, project and/or process engineering preferred
+ Demonstrated expertise in both MS Excel and PowerPoint, including analysis, data connections, pivot tables, and data visualization
+ Proven expertise in collecting data from various sources and automating compilation and updates
+ Proficient with database queries and data analysis
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Experience using Tableau or other visualization tools
+ Demonstrated ability to distill large amounts of information into concise and compelling updates to executive leadership
+ Intellectual curiosity and a bias for productivity
+ Ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners
