Subject Matter Expertise across the organization for all matters pertaining to the legislative compliance, storage & transportation of Hazardous products. Manage and facilitate an aligned company approach to Hazardous substance compliance throughout the Supply Chain & maintaining standards across all organizations to ensure a consistent compliance program. To plan, build and implement a scalable hazardous materials handling program of the future for Nordstrom.
**A day in the life** **…**
+ Translate and communicate hazardous materials legislative changes into business needs and requirements, to define program roadmaps, strategies and processes
+ Own the ongoing operational hazmat execution of the program, coordinating internal resources and communications while leading cross functional teams to ensure all program stakeholders are fulfilling their responsibilities successfully.
+ Drive the hazmat definition of technical system enhancements and the prioritization of related projects.
+ Work with external agencies and organizations benchmarking our hazardous compliance program to ensure we maintain current and appropriate approach to hazmat compliance.
+ Drive a culture that delivers high performance through employee engagement in line with the Nordstrom Brand
+ Influence teams across markets & organizations to ensure understanding of hazardous substance requirement and compliance.

+ ability to understand hazmat program/technical requirements
+ effective and persuasive communication to vendors, buyers and senior Leaders
+ planning and organization skills, with the ability to effectively and independently prioritize workload
+ creating and successfully managing hazardous material programs and projects across the company
+ At least 10 years of hazardous materials experience
