**Job Description**

The ideal Sr. Inbound Transportation Analyst is motivated, results-oriented and committed to providing outstanding performance every day. This position is responsible for managing transportation carrier implementation & performance, serving as an escalation point, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

**A day in the life…**

+ Manage domestic and int’l carrier relationships

+ Monitor and report on carrier performance and take corrective action as needed

+ Resolve carrier OS&D issues and file carrier claims when necessary

+ Manage projects and bids

+ Identify opportunities to streamline the Inbound operation and make recommendations accordingly

+ Partner with Procurement teams to support contracting activities

+ Implement new carriers, processes, and tools to support continuous improvement initiatives

+ Identify, document and propose cost reductions through analysis of current spend, shipment profile and a detailed understanding of logistics provider pricing and methodology

+ Creation and review of monthly & quarterly carrier scorecards

+ Work closely with fellow Transportation Department Analysts to maximize efficiencies and cost savings

+ Provide coverage when team members are away

+ Monitor the Routing Guide for update opportunities and make the necessary updates

**You own this if you have a proven track record with…**

+ Contracting/Procurement: Partner with Procurement/Strategic Sourcing to define & implement strategy for carrier contracting & selection

+ Carrier Implementation: Own process of implementing new carriers and/or changing scope of incumbent carriers

+ OS&D and carrier claims

+ Carrier Performance Management: Develop and implement scorecards, KPI’s, and regular business reviews. Apply carrier segmentation approach to define strategy for engaging with carriers. Solve problems and serve as escalation point for carrier issues.

+ Network Optimization: Create visibility to network optimization opportunities with focus on service, cost, and performance. Partner with team to implement optimization initiatives.

**Basic requirements:**

+ -/+5 years working in a transportation/supply chain environment

+ College Degree in Supply Chain/Transportation or related field preferred

+ Advanced knowledge with PC applications

+ Advanced Excel and/or Tableau skills with an ability to manipulate large quantities of data

+ Comfortable in a fast-paced collaborative work environment
