This job is part of the Partnership Strategy department within the Commercial Division.

Responsible for driving value to American by developing and managing partnerships with third party companies.

**What you’ll do**

+ Research industry trends and competitive landscapes for new loyalty and commercial partnership opportunities, identifying new opportunities for exploration

+ Evaluate new partnership opportunities and associated financial impacts,

+ Negotiate and evaluate commercial agreements and proposals from prospective partners, developing proposed financial and customer constructs

+ Makes decisions of which partner opportunities to explore, whether to move forward with a given partner, relative prioritization of new partner opportunities

+ Translates proposed partnerships into legal contract to codify new partnership agreements

+ Evaluates data trends and performance to define future course of action for existing partnerships

+ Will work closely with manager for new partner evaluations, presenting findings and recommendations to other senior leaders. Will require close input and coordination with other teams including AAdvantage, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and IT.

**Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience**

+ Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training

+ 3 years experience in marketing, financial analysis, or project management

**Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience**

+ Graduate degree or Master of Business Administration

+ Financial modeling experience

**Skills, Licenses & Certifications**

+ Demonstrated analytical skills, including the ability to assemble information, extract pertinent facts, draw logical conclusions, and present recommendations

+ Ability to make independent judgments and decisions while taking ownership of job responsibilities

+ Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
