This job is within the American Airlines Credit Union. The role is responsible for the coordination and implementation of various business and IT solutions within approved project scopes and strategic roadmaps for the Credit Union while partnering with business area leadership to help define, propose, and solve business needs, meet prioritized initiatives, and measure against strategic key performance indicators

**What you’ll do**

+ Lead the Business Technology team consisting of Business Analysts and Systems Analysts

+ Consult with the Business Technology Director and business unit management to understand their business requirements, timelines and priorities

+ Collaborate and facilitate collaboration between various business areas, IT teams and leadership to develop creative solutions

+ Communicate with project teams to review the scope of all IT work requested by the business units

+ Review and update standards for business unit process documentation, including process mapping

+ Establish and maintain standards for member journey mapping, including use cases

+ Develop and execute a review process of Business Analyst documentation, including business product or service roadmaps, requirements definition, project requests, risk assessments, process maps and outlines, and other documentation deemed standard or necessary based upon the topic of work

+ Work with IT management teams to develop innovative technical processes and application solutions

+ Evaluate opportunities for synergies to drive change by improving processes and applications

+ Ensure technical design and use cases are created to help facilitate appropriate business unit testing

+ Create and maintain a line of communication with the Project team, Quality Assurance, other IT departments, and third-party partners/vendors

+ Develop, refine and execute a department and Credit Union value tracking metrics plan for initiatives and projects

+ Perform other duties as assigned

+ The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act..

**All you’ll need for success**

**Minimum Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience**

+ Bachelor’s degree in IT, IS, Business Information Management or related field of study, or extensive related work experience with a successful track record

+ At least three years of experience in business technology and/or project management-related field and position

**Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience**

+ Five years of experience in the financial services industry

+ Three years of experience leading, developing and managing a team

+ Process improvement certification, or similar related work experience

+ Project management certification, or similar related work experience

+ Product management certification, or similar related work experience

+ Agile Methodology certification, or similar related work experience

+ Knowledge of financial services including regulations, products, and processes

+ Knowledge of software applications, database and programming fundamentals, and vendor management

+ Experience with the Credit Union’s financial applications and systems

**Skills, Licenses & Certifications**

+ Skilled in advanced PC and Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software

+ Skilled in Adobe Workfront, Azure DevOps or other collaborative project and work management software

+ Skilled in various reporting tools and techniques

+ Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills

+ Ability to demonstrate superior people management, interpersonal and employee engagement skills, to include directing, coaching, counseling and motivating staff

+ Ability to demonstrate excellent planning and organization skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments simultaneously with attention to detail

+ Ability to exercise excellent troubleshooting skills and objective problem solving analysis

+ Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and decision making skills

+ Abiility to be a leader wth Change Management and Change Advocacy practices

+ Ability to work, lead and manage in a hybrid in-office and remote work environment

+ Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance in a hybrid in-office and remote work environment

+ Ability to pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks
