**Why you’ll love this job**

+ This job is a member of the Crew Planning team within the Integrated Operations Division. You will work closely with our crewmembers and their respective Union organizations.

**What you’ll do**

+ You will be responsible for managing a team of planners to develop, implement and manage preferential bidding systems and other crew schedule management software. This job plays an important role in delivering an operationally effective and financially efficient monthly crew plan.

+ Ensures that the Preferential Bidding System (PBS) settings are within the guidelines of the contract, MOU and other governing authorities

+ Responsible for the publication of Flight Attendant schedules in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations, Flight Attendant Working Agreements and company policy

+ Maintains rapport with Flight Attendant groups by examining individual schedule complaints and providing justifications of the schedule awarded and system logic

+ Coordinates with a variety of departments to increase the efficiency of our crewmembers’ schedules, reduce crew costs and improve the operational reliability of the crew plan

+ Coordinates with Crew Manpower Planning to ensure all operations needs are met with the award of flight schedules and daily crew member availability

+ Collaborates with the PBS vendor and Flight Attendant unions to continuously develop, test, and improve current logic for the bidding systems

+ Creates and modifies desktop software to validate new logic, analyzes crew member schedules, and provides reports to union and business

+ Creates what-if scenarios to evaluate the impact of future business changes Compiles, coordinates and posts monthly Flight Attendant bid packets

+ Must be willing to work varied hours including weekends and holidays to meet all departmental and contractual deadlines

**All you’ll need for success**

**Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience**

+ Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience/training

+ 5 years of industry experience specific to the area of work

+ Experience implementing or administering a PBS system

**Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience**

+ Masters degree in a computer related discipline

+ Experience managing a technical team

**Skills, Licenses & Certifications**

+ Ability to work under pressure, perform independently and work well with other members of the team

+ Demonstrated abstract reasoning and critical thinking skills, ability to effectively analyze detailed information, must enjoy solving complex puzzles

+ Must be computer literate, proficient in desktop computer skills and capable of learning new systems Strong attention to detail, organization and time management skills

+ Self-starter must have a positive attitude and strong desire for success

+ Complete projects on time with minimal supervision, willingness and ability to work varied hours when necessary to meet deadlines

+ Knowledge of Flight Crew Federal Aviation Regulation and Crew Working Agreements
