+ This job is a member of the Engineering Team within the Integrated Operations Division.

+ ​Responsible for acting as a Technical Resource Specialist in area(s) of expertise for all Engineering group. This job acts as a company or industry expert in a technical area.

**What you’ll do**

+ Assists the Engineering Manager in assigning, supporting, training, mentoring and reviewing activities of Engineers

+ Utilizes high levels of technical expertise and extensive practical experience to disposition highly complex technical concerns

+ Develops customized procedures and special criteria for repairs, modifications, inspections, servicing and other maintenance actions which are not adequately addressed in existing manuals.

+ Investigates aircraft/component problems which may cause aircraft delays or cancellations, substantial expenditures in manpower or materials, or interruptions in maintenance operations, and determines appropriate corrective actions.

+ Develops action plans for fleet/multi-fleet and/or component engineering projects and pursues final dispositions according to assessed priorities.

+ Maintains knowledge of current and pending regulations, which affect areas of responsibility and ensures that all Engineering actions maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

+ Utilizes available resources to continually increase levels of technical expertise and practical experience. Also strives to improve communications skills, time management and other personal qualities pertinent to maximum effectiveness and efficiency in performing assigned duties.

+ Develops procedures and special criteria for repairs, modifications, inspections, servicing and other maintenance actions

+ Monitor daily operations and operational trends to identify and resolve items impacting the operation of the airplanes.

**All you’ll need for success**

**Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience**

+ ​Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

+ 8 years of job related experience in an airline environment

**Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience**

+ ​Master’s Degree in Engineering

+ 10 years of experience in an airline environment

+ Expert knowledge of specific airplane systems and assemblies

+ Organizational Designation Authorization

+ Yellow Belt or higher certification by accredited Lean Six Sigma institution

**Skills, Licenses & Certifications**

+ ​Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office

+ Understanding of the Lean Six Sigma principles

+ Ability to multitask in a changing environment
