+ The Commercial Planning & Analysis group contributes to the airline’s long-term profitability by supporting Alliances, Loyalty, Network Planning, Revenue Management, Modern Retailing, and others through rigorous planning and forecasting of critical assets and resulting capacity and revenue; action-oriented analytics; and effective coordination and execution of cross-functional initiatives and partnerships. This group includes Commercial Analysis, Revenue Analysis, Commercial Planning, Fleet & Infrastructure Analysis, and Network Innovation.

+ This job is a part of the Revenue Analysis team within the Commercial Division.

**What you’ll do**

+ Leads forecasting and planning initiatives regarding American’s strategic resources (fleet, infrastructure, partnerships, etc.)

+ Leads a team of analysts responsible for production and analysis of multiple enterprise forecasts, including annual budgets, quarterly five-year-plan high-level forecasts and monthly rolling level updates of capacity, level of operations and revenue

+ Partners with various teams including Network Planning, Revenue Management, Revenue Analysis, Regional Planning, Financial Planning, and Crew Planning, among other internal stakeholders, to ensure delivery of inputs necessary for the production and dissemination of company forecasts

+ Leverage analysis of current performance and future forecasts to identify opportunities for improving and optimizing utilization of assets and resources including crew hours and aircraft

+ Leads a team to identify and quantify revenue opportunities through in-depth analysis of data. Develops and recommends practical revenue management solutions, taking a strong leadership role in a wide variety of revenue initiatives, collaborating with other departments including Pricing, Yield Management, Network Planning, Modern Retailing, Finance, AAdvantage, and Marketing.

+ Drives forward top priority commercial initiatives that span across the company and our partner airlines, bringing alignment around commercial strategies, maintaining clear communication across teams, and ensuring cross-functional actions are completed

+ Drives and coordinates projects with other departments and presents analyses and recommendations to senior management

+ Ensures continuous training and provides development opportunities for the analyst pool

+ Contributes to and drives forward a thriving team culture exemplified by personal integrity and accountability, respect and inclusiveness, collaboration, adaptability, positivity, and care for others

+ Builds on knowledge and experience to create a vision for the future direction of Strategic Planning & Analysis, other commercial teams, and the company at large. + **Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience**

+ Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training

+ 7 years work experience

+ **Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience**

+ Experience directly or indirectly leading teams with significant enterprise and/or top line revenue responsibility

+ Demonstrated ability to solve and lead others in solving complex analytical problems

+ Master’s degree in business-related discipline

+ Ability to manage a team and support critical business decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

+ Master in verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels both within and outside the organization.
